김태흠 충남지사가 충남지역 입주해 있는 대기업 대표를 만난 자리에서 직원채용 시 지역인재 우선 채용을 요청했다.
김태흠 지사는 11일 도청 대회의실에서 안동일 현대제철 대표이사를 비롯, 도내 13개 대기업 대표 등과 간담회를 개최하고 지역인재 우선 채용과 탄소중립 동참을 요청하고 나섰다.
이날 간담회는 도정 현안을 공유하고, 충남과 대기업 간 상생 협력 및 발전 방안 모색을 위해 개최됐다.
간담회에서 김 지사는 지역인재가 도내에서 일하며 정착할 수 있도록 충남형 인력양성 프로그램에 참여하고 지원해 줄 것을 간담회 참여 기업들에게 요청했다.
충남은 경기도에 이어 전국 2위 규모의 산업 생산 기반을 보유하고 있고, 지역대학의 기술인력 양성 역량도 우수하지만, 지역대 졸업자의 도내 취업률은 20.2%에 불과한 형편이다.
김 지사는 이날 탄소중립 동참과 관련해서 탄소중립경제 실현 고탄소산업 탄소 순환 공정 ,탄소 저감 건설 소재 규제자유특구 ,탄소포집활용(CCU) 실증센터 구축 ,수소경제 활성화 ,지역 균형발전을 위한 충남형 R100 추진 등 5건에 대해 관심과 참여를 당부했다.
김 지사는 이어 “자동차 부품, 반도체, 디스플레이 등 충남의 주력 산업은 지역 수출의 43%를 차지하며 지역경제를 지탱하는 기둥 역할을 하고 있다”며 기업하기 좋은 환경 조성을 위해 행정력을 집중하겠다고 말했다.
그러면서 김 지사는 “지역에서 키운 인재를 지역 기업에서 채용할 수 있도록 하기 위한 충남형 계약학과 추진에 동참하고, 충남의 신성장동력 창출을 위한 탄소중립 실현에 기업들이 나서 줄 것”을 당부했다.
이날 간담회에는 현대제철, 삼성디스플레이, 한화토탈에너지스, KT, 현대자동차, 삼성SDI, SK E&S, HD현대오일뱅크, LG화학, 롯데케미칼, 현대엔지니어링, 동국제강, KG스틸 등이 참석했다.
