민선 9기 대전시가 고물가 장기화로 위축된 민생경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위해 대전형 지역화폐인 ‘온통대전’의 혜택을 대폭 늘려 전격 재가동한다.

대전시는 오는 9월 1일부터 한층 강화된 혜택을 담은 ‘온통대전 2.0’을 본격 시행하고, 체감도 높은 캐시백 혜택을 중심으로 지역 소비 촉진에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번 온통대전 2.0의 핵심은 파격적인 캐시백 지원이다. 

월 구매 한도 30만 원 내에서 기본 10%의 캐시백을 안정적으로 제공하는 것을 골자로, 소비 촉진이 시급한 시기와 지원이 절실한 대상에게는 적립률을 최대 15%까지 끌어올린다.

우선 추석 명절이 포함된 9월 한 달간은 구매액의 15%를 캐시백으로 돌려준다. 이어 10월과 11월에는 취약계층을 비롯해 전통시장, 골목형상점가, 청년창업 가맹점 이용자를 대상으로 13%의 캐시백을 적용한다. 

연말인 12월에도 소비진작을 위한 추가 캐시백을 지급하며, 착한가격업소 이용 시에는 연말까지 상시 15%의 적립 혜택을 제공한다.

대전시는 효율적인 재정 구조조정과 투자 순위 조정을 통해 캐시백 지급에 필요한 재원을 확보했으며, 국비 확보에도 총력을 기울여 캐시백 혜택을 안정적이고 지속적으로 운용할 계획이다.

이번 온통대전 2.0은 단순한 할인 혜택에 그치지 않고, 정책지원금 연계 및 소상공인 결제 수수료 절감을 위한 QR 간편결제 도입 등 지역 경제 선순환을 위한 다양한 기능도 함께 탑재했다.

한편, 기존에 발급받은 온통대전 카드 및 대전사랑카드는 별도의 교체나 재발급 절차 없이 그대로 사용할 수 있다.
