대전시민의 숙원인 대전의료원 건립 사업이 기본설계를 마무리짓고 본격적인 사업 추진 단계에 돌입했다.
대전시는 27일 시청에서 주요 관계자 및 의료·건축 분야 전문가들이 참석한 가운데 ‘대전의료원 건립사업 기본설계용역 완료보고회’를 개최하고 최종 설계안을 확정했다.
민선 9기 핵심 공약이자 지역 거점 공공병원으로 추진되는 대전의료원은 동구 용운동 선량지구 일원에 319병상 규모로 들어선다. 향후 지역 공공보건의료 역량을 획기적으로 강화하고, 신종 감염병 등 공중보건 위기 상황에 선제적으로 대응하는 중부권 의료 안전망의 중추적 임무를 수행하게 된다.
대전시는 ‘시민 중심의 스마트 공공병원’과 ‘안심 감염병 관리 체계 구축’을 설계의 중심축으로 삼았다. 조달청의 설계 적정성 검토 및 보건복지부 심의 과정에서 도출된 의견을 세심하게 반영해 완성도를 높였다.
특히 개원 전 운영 주체가 미정인 점을 고려해 현장 감각을 반영한 '설계용역 자문위원회'를 운영해 왔다.
분야별 전문가와 실무자로 구성된 자문위는 진료·병동 동선, 감염 관리, 환자 및 의료진 편의 등 병원 운영 전반에 걸친 실질적 조언을 제공했다. 시는 향후 진행될 실시설계 과정에서도 자문위의 역할을 더욱 확대할 방침이다.
한편, 대전시는 현재 진행 중인 기획재정부 등과의 총사업비 협의가 완료되는 대로 기본설계 기술제안 입찰 방식을 통해 시공사를 선정할 예정이다. 이후 실시설계를 거쳐 본격적인 착공에 들어간다.
