대전시가 민간·가정 어린이집의 보육 품질을 높이고 공공 보육 기반을 대폭 확장한다.
대전광역시는 29일 한밭대학교 실내체육관에서 개최된 ‘2026 대전광역시 공공형어린이집 보육인 체육대회’에서 신규 지정된 공공형어린이집 10개소에 지정서를 전달하고 보육 현장 관계자들을 격려했다.
공공형어린이집은 우수 민간·가정 어린이집을 선정해 국가가 운영비를 지원하고 엄격한 관리 기준을 적용해 국공립 수준의 높은 보육 서비스를 제공하는 제도다. 대전시는 이번 신규 지정으로 공공형어린이집을 총 146개소까지 늘리며 지역 공공보육 네트워크를 한층 강화하게 됐다.
이날 행사에는 허태정 대전시장을 비롯해 지역 공공형어린이집 보육 교직원 1,000여 명이 참석해 소통과 단합을 도모했다. 특히 지정서 수여식에 이어 대전공공형어린이집연합회가 지역 내 소외된 이웃을 위해 대전사회복지공동모금회에 성금 100만 원을 전달하는 뜻깊은 나눔 행사도 함께 열렸다.
이어진 체육대회에서는 보육 교직원들이 다채로운 체육 프로그램에 참여해 스트레스를 해소하고 연대감을 쌓는 시간을 가졌다.
허태정 대전시장은 “아이들의 성장 과정을 가장 가까이에서 세심하게 살피며 헌신하는 보육 교직원 여러분께 진심으로 감사드린다”라며 “교직원들이 보다 나은 환경에서 자부심을 가지고 일할 수 있도록 현장 지원을 강화하고, 영유아와 부모 모두가 만족하는 보육 환경 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
