대전광역시가 정부세종청사에서 근무하는 대전 출신 공직자들과 머리를 맞대고 주요 시정 현안 및 국비 확보를 위한 협력 체계 구축에 나섰다.
대전시는 2일 세종시 정부세종청사 소속 대전 향우 공무원 130여 명을 초청해 ‘2026 중앙부처 향우 공무원 초청 네트워킹데이’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사는 민선 9기 대전시정의 미래 청사진을 공유하고, 중앙부처와의 긴밀한 인적 네트워크를 바탕으로 지역 핵심 사업의 동력을 확보하고자 마련됐다.
대전시는 민선 9기 출범 이후 거둔 주요 성과로 국군사관학교 자운대 설립 확정, 인빅터스 게임 유치, 중대범죄수사청 대전지방청 건립 확정, 알테오젠 투자 유치 등을 소개하며 대전의 성장 기반을 다지고 있음을 강조했다.
이와 함께 대전의 5대 핵심 전략으로 과학기술 중심 경제도시 ,혁신 행정 안전도시 ,청년·모두를 위한 포용도시 ,문화예술도시 ,녹색성장 균형도시 등을 제시했다.
아울러 AI 인프라 구축, 첨단 벤처기업 2,000개 육성, 온통대전 2.0 운영, 청년주택 5,000호 공급 등 체감형 주요 정책 추진에 대한 중앙부처의 다각적인 지원과 관심을 당부했다.
허태정 대전시장은 “대전의 새로운 도약을 위해서는 지역 내 노력뿐만 아니라 중앙정부와의 긴밀한 소통과 공조가 필수적”이라며 “중앙부처에서 활약 중인 향우 공무원들이 고향 발전과 중앙을 잇는 든든한 다리가 되어주길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
대전시는 이번 행사를 계기로 향우 공무원들과의 정례적인 소통 창구를 강화하고, 주요 현안 및 국비 확보 사업이 정부 정책에 차질 없이 반영될 수 있도록 협조를 이어갈 방침이다.
