대전광역시가 중소기업 현장의 산업재해를 예방하고 사람 중심의 안전문화를 확산하기 위해 지역 산업계 및 유관 기관과 손을 잡았다. 대전시는 3일 대전컨벤션센터(DCC) 제1전시장 컨퍼런스홀에서 산업안전상생재단과 공동으로 ‘중소기업과 함께하는 안전상생 토크콘서트’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
대전산업단지관리공단과 대덕산업단지관리공단의 참여와 협조로 마련된 이번 행사에는 지역 중소기업 대표, 안전관리 담당자, 근로자 등 200여 명이 참석했다. 참가자들은 '안전 상생 실천 결의문'을 합송하며 작업 전 위험요인 사전 발굴, 법령 및 수칙 준수, 지역 내 안전 협력체계 구축 등 4대 실천 과제를 이행하기로 다짐했다.
이어 열린 토크콘서트에서는 실제 현장에서 발생한 사고 사례를 토대로 사고 원인을 정밀 분석하고 현실적인 예방책을 논의했다. 전문가와 근로자 패널들은 중소기업이 겪는 현장 애로사항을 공유하며 실천 과제를 점검했다. 아울러 근로자와 가족의 이야기를 다룬 안전 뮤지컬 '약속' 공연이 펼쳐져 일터 안전의 가치를 되새겼다.
대전시는 이번 토크콘성트를 계기로 사업주와 근로자가 자발적으로 참여하는 현장 중심의 산업재해 예방 정책을 강화할 방침이다. 더불어 대형 화재 발생 위험이 높은 관내 주요 시설을 대상으로 전수조사를 시행하는 등 선제적인 안전관리 대책도 차질 없이 추진한다.
한치흠 대전시 기획조정실장은 “산업현장의 안전은 근로자의 생명과 건강을 지키는 가장 기본적인 가치”라며 “현장의 목소리를 수렴해 실효성 있는 산재 예방 정책을 추진하고 안전 실천이 일상으로 정착되도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
